Myths about Beekeeping

MYTH #1: ALL BEES STING.

Not all bees can sting. For example, male bees cannot sting. Bees sting only when provoked or feel threatened.

MYTH #2: HONEY BEES CAN STING THEIR VICTIM REPEATEDLY.

When a bee stings, its barbs get caught in the skin of the animals they sting. Loss of the stinger means the bee dies.

MYTH #3: BEES WON'T STING AT NIGHT.

They sting anytime, so don’t take any changes.

MYTH #4: BEE REARING CANNOT BE DONE IN URBAN AREAS.

Bees need flowers and urban hobbyists can successfully rear bees in areas where there is a lot of greenery
