Myths about Beekeeping
MYTH #1: ALL BEES STING.
Not all bees can sting. For example, male bees cannot sting. Bees
sting only when provoked or feel threatened.
MYTH #2: HONEY BEES CAN STING
THEIR VICTIM REPEATEDLY.
When a bee stings, its barbs get caught in the skin of the
animals they sting. Loss of the stinger means the bee dies.
MYTH #3: BEES WON'T STING AT
NIGHT.
They sting anytime, so don’t take any changes.
MYTH #4: BEE REARING CANNOT BE
DONE IN URBAN AREAS.
Bees need flowers and urban hobbyists can successfully rear bees
in areas where there is a lot of greenery
